Character: Lady Mary Crawley
Variant: Black dinner gown
Debut: November 2015
The gown is made of a remnant piece of black embroidered and sequined tulle (1,5 m and a big scrap piece for the sleeves), beige red crepe georgette and beige brown viscose lining. The gown has a slightly raised waist seam, a tight-fitting bodice and closes in the back with a lacing. The sleeves are made of two trapezoidal pieces of gathered tulle draped directly onto the gown. The neckline is decorated with a vintage black bugle bead tulle trim. The belt is made of georgette as base, a wide black bugle bead tulle trim and a vintage bugle bead tulle trim.
I wear a boned corsage underneath the gown.
The black beaded chocker, the ear rings, the black feather hair decoration piece and the ivory duchesse gloves are ready-made. The updo hairstyle is made with the help of a curly bun hair piece.
